A week??ago, iRacing announced to be running an official VLN online championship sanctioned by the real-life Nurburgring-Based series.
Once a national affair, the VLN has become increasingly popular in international racing circles in recent years mainly due to its home track as the series races exclusively on the N??rburgring Nordschleife.
Using grids compromised of both GTs & touring cars and GT3-class machinery on the sharp end of the field, the VLN regularly boasts 150+ car grids in more than ten classes.
iRacing’s virtual version consists of less individual cars of course, still trying to capture that unique mix of touring cars and GTs. Full coverage of the first round can be found below as the virtual series does have one advantage over the real event: While the VLN series still isn’t offering full-circuit live coverage of their races, interested viewers can follow the virtual race in full below.
