Sim Racing had a major presence at the CES in Las Vegas this month thanks to the much-discussed Visa E Race that saw sim racing aces and real racing drivers go head to head for a million dollars of prize money.
Also on the scene in Vegas were TNT’s NBA broadcasting crew, including basketball legends Shaquille O???Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith, and the famous former athletes took the chance to get a taste of some virtual racing.
Using the rigs setup for the Vegas E Race, the basketball legends had a three-way race, once more showing that virtual driving might be look easy from the outside but it’s not all that easy once you’re behind the wheel yourself.
Then again, the resulting carnage??race probably does not look that much different than a public lobby multiplayer race on a bad day…
