Take A First Look At Long Beach In iRacing

iRacing has released a first teaser video of their upcoming Long Beach Street Circuit, showing off the track’s iconic fountain that is part of the circuit layout.

Located in downtown Long Beach, California, the 1,9 mile street course is the most important non-oval track in the United States, attendance at Grand Prix weekends regularly exceeds 200.000 visitors. The track has hosted Formula One and Champ Cars in the past and is now an Indycar and IMSA Weathertech Sports Car Championship venue.

Strictly speaking, this isn’t the first look at the track as Long Beach has been iRacing’s longest-running development project, a first video of the partly-finished and untextured track was released all the way back in 2013.

Since then, the track has been labeled a “Tech Track” and its unfinished version is available for non-sanctioned races and practice but it looks like the fully-fledged version is finally arriving! While iRacing has an extensive portfolio of North American race tracks, both ovals and road racing venue, the countries several street circuits have not made it into the simulation until now.
