Like many companies are doing these days, Subaru has been urging their Japanese fans to stay at home to fight the Covid-19 outbreak.
To get the message across, the company has come up with a very creative video, blending real life footage with typical console racing optics.
The video shows a “virtual” Subaru test drive at Tsukuba race way, starting out in a Gran Turismo-looking menu system and ending up with on-track footage, including the typical GT-look user interface and a camera view that closely emulates the swingman-view console racing titles are famous for.
The result is not only a creative way to get their message across but also a look at the potential future as console graphics will surely take another step towards a photo realistic look with the next console generation coming up this winter.
