I´ve shown lots of professional full motion racing simulators on this before but while most of these are completely out of reach for the normal sim racer, the video below shows the first test run of a more affordable solution.
The video shows the prototype of a VisionRacer VR3 racing rig combined with a D-BOX 3DOF motion box in action with a game called Nitro Stunt Racing. Even though the title is not a simulation, both the big and the small beta tester seem to enjoy their experience a lot.
D-BOX’s motion technology is supported by all major simulations including rFactor, the Simbin titles and iRacing. Pricing info on this new unit is not yet available but with regular VisionRacer rigs selling for less than a thousand dollars, it should be within the pricing range of sim racing enthusiasts.
