TMG Le Mans LMP Simulator Gets Upgraded

Toyota Motorsport GmbH has updated their industry-leading simulator with a genuine Le Mans Prototype chassis!

I’ve posted a bunch of stories on Toyota Motorsport GmbH’s very impressive simulator that is used to prepare for the team’s World Endurance Championship preparation in the past in the past.

Originally built back during Toyota’s Formula One days, the simulator featured a Formula One chassis on the hardware side and while Toyota exited Formula One after the 2009 season and turned to endurance racing ever since, that part of the simulator was never replaced.

After spending three seasons in the World Endurance Championship, the guys at TMG decided that it’s time to finally upgrade their simulator hardware as well as the team’s simulator now features a genuine Toyota TS040 chassis, the company’s weapon of choice for outright Le Mans victory.

The simulator is of essential importance both for driver training and car development given that test days for the World Endurance Championship are strictly-limited due to cost-cutting regulations.
