While rFactor’s life cycle is slowly coming to its end with rFactor 2 around the corner, the simulation receives another huge content addon as the legendary Targa Florio is due to be released in three days time!
The Targa Florio Conversion Team has released the following little teaser, getting everyone revved up for the release of of their massive project.
Located on the Italian Island of Sicily, the 72 kilometer Targa Florio is quite possible the longest and most challenging race track in the history of motorsports. Being more than 3 times as long as the already daunting N??rburgring Nordschleife, this track takes a life time to master.
The Targa Florio hosted iconic sports car races until the mid 1970s as insanely powerful sports cars and prototypes blasted through the countryside and the countless little vilages. When safety became a concern, racing on the Targa was cancelled with the exception of local Italian rallys but rFactor users will be able to relive the thrill of driving this Italian roller coaster thanks to the Targa Florio Conversion Team.
Based on the original version for Grand Prix Legends, the conversion team has equipped the track with high resolution textures and plenty of other improvements and tweaks that result in a high-quality product.
