Thrustmaster recently announced the new??Ferrari 458 Challenge wheel rim add-on for the T500 RS wheel and of course the guys over at InsideSimRacing.tv are among the first to get their hands on the new merchandise.
The result is a first hands-on & mini-review video as Darin & Shaun try out the new wheel.
Following the Ferrari F1 replica rim, the ??Ferrari GTE 458 Challenge wheel rim also carries the prestigious Ferrari badge, being designed to mimic the wheel of the Ferrari 458 Challenge car.
Compared to the original T500 RS GT rim, the wheel does not just come with the shiny prancing horse badge but also with several important new features. The first are additional buttons and switches located on the rim center, giving the rim a very distinct racing look.
The second, and perhaps most important new feature, are the paddle shifters on the wheel rim, allowing users of the T500 RS to ditch the base-mounted paddles for those who can???t get accustomed to them.
The??Ferrari GTE 458 Challenge wheel rim will be available starting this month, selling for 99 Euros/Dollars, making it a very affordable option for existing T500 RS wheel owners.
