Image Space Incorporated has just released two new high-resolution previews of their rFactor 2 title, showing some of the much-anticipated wet weather effects from cockpit view.
We get to check out rain effects on the windscreen in an unidentified Nissan GT or Touring Car, peeking outside into a wet and empty pitlane.
rFactor 2 will introduce various improvements to the modding-friendly simulation including weather, driver animations and a refined graphics engine. ISI has not announced a definite release date yet, the company is still aiming to release their newest title by the end of 2010 though.
Update: As pointed out in the comments by Marcel Penzkofer, the car in the screenshot is the Nissan GT-R GT1 that competes in the GT1 World Championship. The car isn’t the first GT1 car to show up in rFactor 2 previews as earlier menu previews had shown a Corvette C6.R GT1 in the background. A rather interesting development..
