Image Space Incorporated has released a new preview shot of their upcoming rFactor 2 simulation, revealing a brand new feature: Visible tire wear & damage.
rFactor 2’s tire model will not just simulate tire wear and damage such as flatspots, drivers will also be able to see the damage done to their tires as you can check out in the preview shot below, showing four different stages of tire wear. The impressive graphical effect isn’t generic but will show the damage exactly where it has been done to the tire.
rFactor 2 will introduce various improvements to the modding-friendly simulation including weather, driver animations and a refined graphics engine. ISI has not announced a definite release date yet.
