Even though Image Space Incorporated recently announced that the content-limited open beta version of rFactor 2 won’t be launched before the holidays, preparation for the beta release has already started.
ISI has started offering the first files for download via torrent as interested sim racers can now download the first content packs.
The rFactor 2 beta uses ISI’s new RFMOD file systems to add content and the first RFMOD files are now available to be downloaded via torrent as ISI wants to make sure people already have the big content downloads completed once the beta is ready to be launched.
Content available for download includes the 1960’s World Class Racing pack, the Formula Renault 3.5 & the Renault Megane Trophy.
You can find the download link to the packs below, these files are not playable in any shape or form as the beta executable isn’t available yet.
The open beta of rFactor 2 will be launched after the holidays, coming with several content items to give ISI’s new simulation a first try. In order to use the beta, buyers need to make a full retail purchase, details on the pricing structure can be found here.
