The rF Open Wheel Racing Project has released a new version of their Open Wheel Racing 2007-2008 mod for rFactor. The 1.25 version brings plenty of changes to the IRL mod including tire-related physic changes and more.
Changelog:
time to fix front wing – 15 seconds (down from 50 seconds)
fuel time 6.3 liters/second (1.6 gallons per second)
tire change time – 9 seconds (up from 5.5 seconds)
1.5 seconds to adjust wing angle (front) and 3 seconds to adjust rear angle (driver could not previously change rw angle, now can, as some IRL teams have the ability now)
allow driver to change individual tires, if wanted
***Physics***
fixed “instant” engine blow on configs outside of indy
More tire wear (tires get to the yellows now)
Less cold tire grip penalty
Grip penalty increased for being over temp and having more wear (used to be only 10% grip loss at 90% wear…now is around 20%).
Attention: To use the 1.25 version patch, you need to have the 1.2 Indy Edition installed.
