Sector 3 has announced a quite significant change to how their RaceRoom Racing Experience content store will operate.
A new shopping cart functionality will allow users to buy several items at once, paying by only purchasing the required vRP points needed to complete that particular purchase. As of now, players have to buy vRP points in packs, causing players to end up with leftover points and making the whole pricing model somewhat intransparent.
The new cart feature will get rid of these problems, players still have the option to buy vRP in packs though, giving them a discount of up to 18%.
Furthermore, Sector 3 also announced a change with regards to how the “Experience” packs (such as DTM Experience) are handled. Starting with the next update, each bought experience will automatically become part of the users’ R3E installation, certain experiences may stay stand-alone for a pre-determined time though.
Both changes should make the often-times somewhat confusing and unique content system behind RaceRoom Racing Experience much easier to handle for existing and future customers.
