Slightly Mad Studios have announced that the Playstation 4 version of their Project CARS title will support Sony’s Project Morpheus VR headset.
Project Morpheus was just revealed a few days ago, bringing VR to the Playstation 4, which is not supported by the rivaling Oculus Rift.
Project CARS players will be able to enjoy virtual reality on both platforms as Project CARS is the first title to have announced support for both the Rift and Project Morpheus, pCARS will also be the first PS4 racing game to support the device as Drive Club has recently been announced to not make use of the new technology.
Slightly Mad Studios’ support for the Morpheus continues the studios’ push to be at the forefront of technical innovation in race gaming as Project CARS is also the first race game to support 4K resolution gaming, was the first racing title to announce Oculus Rift support and is the first realistic racing title to be released both for the PC and the next-gen console platforms.
Project CARS will be available for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam OS, and Wii U starting Fall 2014. More info can be found on the WMD website.
