A few days ago, German racing ace Rene Rast shared a first video of his preparation for the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours in his home simulator, using Project CARS.
Rene used the WMD-powered title to prepare for his first ever stint at the 24hr classic last year, helping him to an 8th place finish overall finish in the Sebastien Loeb Racing Oreca 03 LMP2 car.
This year, Rene has made it up into the big leagues as the successful German racing driver will be co-driving one of Audi’s R18 e-Tron Quattro LMP1 prototypes, making him a potential race winner.
To prepare for his big chance, Rene continues to use Project CARS to simulate all kinds of obstacles that Le Mans throws the drivers way, including different daylight conditions. Below’s a video of Rene in action with Project CARS, showing the title’s fully-dyamice time of day system in full swing on the legendary French circuit.
The video shows the simulation with time progression in the time of day system speed up by 50 times to allow showcasing the full range of conditions within one lap, players will be able to adjust the time progression to their liking, all the way to real-time for full simulation of a 24 hour race.
