Slightly Mad Studios have released a new gameplay preview video of their upcoming Project CARS 3 title, showing the 2019 Porsche 935 at the company’s Leipzig test track in a mix of cockpit and external cam footage.
The 2019 Porsche 935 track day car is the company’s modern take on their highly-successful Group 5 race car of the same name that dominated endurance racing in the late 70s and early 80s, topping out in the extreme “Moby Dick” version.
The 935 is one of the cars players will be able to utilize in Project CARS 3 revamped career mode that will allow players to progress from street cars to thoroughbred racing machinery, with the trackday 935 slotted in somewhere in between.
Furthermore, Project CARS 3 will also feature improved multiplayer, including a new rivals mode, relay servers for better net performance as well as skill-based match making, custom lobbies will be available as well.
Unfortunately, Project CARS 3 will also lose some of the features of its predecessor, especially on the realism side with tire wear, fuel consumption and pit stops all having been scrapped in a favor of a ???pick up and race??? approach.
Project CARS 3 will be coming to the PC, Playstation 4 & Xbox One starting August 28.
