Nogaro & Charade 2009 – Released

Pixim has relesaed a neat little holiday surprise for the sim racing community, bringing us the 2009 version of the French Nogaro and Charade tracks for rFactor.

Officially called Circuit Paul Armagnac, the track near Nogaro in south-western France was opened in 1960 and has hosted many notable events ever since. Current races hosted on the track include the FFSA GT championship as well as an annual FIA GT round.

Also known as the Circuit Clermont-Ferrand, Charade has hosted four editions of the French Grand Prix between 1965 and 1972 and also served as a filming location for the movie Grand Prix. Back in 1989, the nine kilometer circuit was shortened to four kilometers and has served as testing and racing school venue ever since. Despite playing no role in professional motor sports anymore, the track is still famous for bearing close resemblance to the N??rburgring Nordschleife in terms of challenge for the drivers.
