Since the German release of Simbin’s new GTR Evolution title is just two days away now (for whatever reason, Germany keeps on being the first country to get new Simbin titles), the first reviews start to come in.
Gamestar magazine has reviewed the game, giving it a favorable 82% score. The reviewer frowned upon the lack of appeal to the mass audience due to a missing career mode as well as on the rather old-fashioned graphics.
Much more interesting is the fact that the review does mention 24 hour races with dynamic day/night transitions. There has been much speculation in the community whether or not GTR Evolution will have that feature as it was not included in the RACE titles.
Now, mainstream gaming magazines are certainly not the most knowledgeable when it comes to sim racing, there is a chance that the reviewer just confused the game with GTR2 which offers this feature.
