Following plenty of hints, the cat is out of the bag as Fanatec has revealed that their new upcoming Microsoft Xbox 360 compatible top of the line wheel will be based on the 2008 Porsche 911 GT2.
The chosen car model has a big impact on the product as the 2008 GT2 has the same Alcantara-leather rim that already made the Fanatec Porsche 911 GT3-RS wheel such an enjoyable experience.
You can find a photo of the real wheel below, giving you a pretty good idea on how Fanatec’s product will look. Much like the discontinued Turbo S, the new GT2 wheel will be compatible to all major platforms including PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 with the added benefit and comfort of the Alcantara rim.
