Fanatec has released a very mysterious video on their Youtube channel. The video is filmed inside a pit box at the Hockenheimring, featuring a real Porsche 997 GT3-Cup race car and two racing cockpits.
The cockpits show some interesting stuff that raises a few questions. The first interesting detail is the wheel rim used on the Clubsport Wheel base, a Porsche-brandend GT wheel.
So far, we have only seen Fanatec’s BMW GT2 wheel rim, this one looks to be mostly identical aside from the Porsche badge that has replaced the white-blue BMW trademark.
The other interesting aspect is what’s being visible on screen. The screen shows what looks to be a virtual Porsche 997 GT3-Cup car cockpit in an unidentified simulation as the screen clearly doesn’t show Forza Motorosport 3 or Shift 2 Unlimited, the latest titles featuring licensed Porsche cars.
