Back in September, MMG announced to start working on the 1998 season of the British Touring Car Championship, one of the first scratch-made mods for GTR Evolution.
Following the announcement, it was pretty silent around the ambitious project. Eight months later, the team has released a first preview and disclosed some details on the planned features.
The preview shows the Peugeot 406 model as raced in the 1998 season, the French manufacturer faced competition from notable manufacturers including Ford, Nissan, Volvo & Honda.
The mod is planned to make extensive use of the game’s damage model as many parts such as bumpers, lights, doors & wheels will break off the car in a crash. Furthermore, MMG is experimenting with including window-damage, a feature that might not make it into the mod due to the game’s limitations.
