Virtua_LM’s Mid Ohio Sports Car Course is arguably the most popular and iconic track for rFactor and the track’s legacy will continue in rFactor 2 as the team has started moving onto the new platform.
Below is a first preview of Mid Ohio for rFactor 2 at night as MonSum is busy exploring the new possibilities of rFactor 2. The night atmosphere is helped by the fact that rFactor 2 supports more light sources and light receivers, making for a more realistic night environment as you can see below.
Opened in 1962, the 3.8 kilometer track has seen its share of sports car history, hosting notable Group C, Camel GT, Grand Am and American Le Mans Series races just to name a few. Even open wheelers are no strangers to the track as the CART championship and the IRL have hosted races at Mid-Ohio.
