Mak Corp has announced to be working on a Porsche Supercup 2010 mod for rFactor 2. Much like their previously-announced Renault Megane project, the Porsche Supercup car is made in co-operation with real-life racing teams for training purposes.
The sim racing community will benefit from Mak Corp’s access to real life data as a rFactor 2 version of the car has been confirmed, a release for GTR Evolution and rFactor is also a possibility. The mod won’t be out for any platform before 3/4 of the 2010 Porsche Supercup season is over though due to sensibility of the data used in the mod. Officially called the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, the Porsche Supercup is a one-make racing series using Porsche’s GT3-Cup car. The series is best known for being a regular support event for the Formula One World Championship, the current series’ champion is Dutchman Jeroen Bleekemolen.
