ECAR Tracks has released the first public version of his Le Mans Bugatti Circuit for rFactor 2.
Scratch-made and based on accurate CAD data, the track already comes with full working AI, four sets of trackside cameras, Realroad functionality and night lighting.
Notes of v0.93
———————
Funcional AIW including 3 lines, BLOCK and WET lines for AI cars.
Inserted high red cement limiters in some kerb zones and reduced cut warning threshold to 0.95 to avoid track cutting. You may have jumps with extremely low cars as prototypes or formulas. It can be reviewed in next version.
4 sets of track-side cameras.
56 cars allowed to grid and garages spots (I wouldn’t use more than 25 – 30 due the track dimensions).
Realroad.
Night lights implemented.
Notes of v0.94
———————
Adjusted (reduced) rumblestrips generic grip.
Adjusted main tarmac TDF parameters (tyre wear)
Corrected wrong cube reflections on the main tarmac.
Corrected wrong TDF entry for the main realroad material (feeling of driving improved)
Corrected alien black square in main straight.
Garage depth increased to 2.9 meters before AI steering.
Corrected AIW lefthanded pit entry.
Known issues of v0.93
——————————-
Materials and textures at first pass (some of them are placeholders).
No spectators yet.
Some 3D kerbs have reversed geometry.
Some textures mirrored in grandstands.
No optimization of shadows and track-side objects (coming next version). You may struggle a bit with performance (no issues with a 30 URDs cars grid tough – my machine = 4790K / 980 GTX). I’ve experienced few freezing with 358.87 NVIDIA drivers but they don’t seem to be related to the track or the simulator themselves.
Slightly wrong elevation and track camber around Dunlop bridge (going to be fixed).
Crazy pit in / pit out lights (sorry we got a short circuit)
Not all of sponsors printed in the walls yet.
Opened in 1965, the 4.1 kilometer Bugatti Circuit is a permanent race track located in the city of Le Mans. Allowing all-year operation, parts of the track are also used for the annual Le Mans 24 Hour race as the circuit???s famous endurance layout uses the start finish straight and first chicane of the permanent Bugatti Circuit.
