iRacing has released a new preview video of their upcoming Long Beach circuit, confirming that iRacing’s first-ever street circuit will be made available with the 2021 Season 1 build.
Having been in development for more than seven years, Long Beach will mark the first time that iRacing releases a highly-detailed street circuit ever since the service launched and established laser-scanned as the gold standard for sim racing track creation.
The new preview video gives us an extensive look at the track in an empty state, something that will quickly change once the iRacing user base will get their hands on the track.
Located in downtown Long Beach, California, the 1,9 mile street course is the most important non-oval track in the United States, attendance at Grand Prix weekends regularly exceeds 200.000 visitors. The track has hosted Formula One and Champ Cars in the past and is now an Indycar and IMSA Weathertech Sports Car Championship venue.
