iRacing has released the first two previews of their Imola track that will join the simulation later this year.
Imola for iRacing has been in development for many years, with reports of laser-scanning work to have been completed going back two years and the initial licensing announcement dating back all the way to 2013.
Officially known as the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the track has been majorly revamped after the 2006 season including a brand new pit complex and layout changes. Most importantly, the new layout lacks the final Variante Bassa chicane when used for car racing, creating a long flat-out straight all the way from Rivazza to the Traguardo corner.
While a release date has not been revealed, Imola will be available in iRacing by July as??iRacing???s World Championship GP Series is scheduled to race on the Italian track this summer.
