iRacing.com has released a new render of the upcoming Aston Martin GT1 car that is due to join the online racing simulation soon.
The DBR9 will be the first Aston Martin race car in iRacing, adding competition to the Corvette C6.R GT1 class car.
Following the successful Ferrari 550 Maranello, the DBR9 was Prodrive???s weapon of choice for GT1 class racing at Le Mans and in the American Le Mans Series and FIA GT championship starting with the 2005 season.
The car clinched two Le Mans class wins and various other wins, remaining in competition until 2011. Furthermore, the car???s six-liter V12 engine also lived on to power Aston Martin???s DBR1-2 Le Mans prototypes.
