iRacing has announced a new addition to their online racing simulation – The 2015??McLaren-Honda MP4-30 Formula One car.
Mclaren-Honda’s weapon of choice for the upcoming 2015 Formula One World Championship season will be the second modern Formula One car to make it into iRacing, following the Williams FW31 that was released in 2010.
Unlike the FW31 that was “old-gen” Formula One car, the MP4-30 will feature all of Formula One’s latest technical advancements such as ERS & DRS which will be properly simulated in the virtual world.
Driven by world champions Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button, the MP4-30 marks Honda’s return to Formula One with long-term partner McLaren.
iRacing staff has already been on location in McLaren Racing headquarters and while no release date for the car has been revealed, it is likely that the MP4-30 will be released later this year while the car is still current.
