The Indy 500 is Coming to Project CARS 2

Slightly Mad Studios have announced a major licensing deal for their upcoming Project CARS 2 title as the legendary Indy 500 and the Indycar Series will join the new title.

Slightly Mad Studios have announced a major licensing deal for their upcoming Project CARS 2 title as the legendary Indy 500 and the Indycar Series will join the new title.

Players will be able to experience the 2016 Indycar season, featuring the Dallara IR-12 open wheeler as well as the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway as well as other Indycar venues such as Long Beach.

Historic racing nuts will get their fix as well as Project CARS 2 will also include a few legendary Indy 500 winners, including the Lotus 38 & 56 as well as the unique Agajanian Watson Roadster.

To celebrate the announcement, SMS has released plenty of new previews which you can check out below, as well as a series of in-depth writeup featuring the history of the Watson roadster, insight from a real Indianapolis engineer and an interview with Indy 500 racer James Hinchcliffe.

Project CARS 2 will bring 180 cars and 60 tracks to the PC, Playstation 4 & Xbox One.

Aside from graphics & sound improvements, Project CARS 2 comes with refined physics featuring the title???s cutting-edge tire model and improved AI as well as brand-new gamepad controls & FFB improvements. The new version comes with robust eSports & online capabilities including Online Championship mode, driver rating as well as race directing & broadcast controls.
