iRacing has released a new preview video of their upcoming Imola track, showing a full lap around the track in the McLaren Honda MP4-30 Formula One car.
Imola for iRacing has been in development for many years, with reports of laser-scanning work to have been completed going back two years and the initial licensing announcement dating back all the way to 2013.
Officially known as the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the track has been majorly revamped after the 2006 season including a brand new pit complex and layout changes. Most importantly, the new layout lacks the final Variante Bassa chicane when used for car racing, creating a long flat-out straight all the way from Rivazza to the Traguardo corner.
Imola will be released as part of iRacing’s new season update next week.
