Polyphony Digital has announced their decision to delay Gran Turismo Sport until 2017.
The first-ever Gran Turismo for the Playstation 4 platform will not meet it’s late 2016 deadline as Polyphony Digital continues to improve and develop the title.
???As we approach our planned release date in November, we realise we need more time to perfect GT Sport, to which we???ve already dedicated so much effort to since announcing the title, and do not want to compromise the experience. While we cannot confirm a new release date at this time, we are more committed than ever to making GT Sport the best Gran Turismo game to date, ” Kazunori Yamauchi commented.
More details on the new release date have not yet been revealed, Gran Turismo fans can look forward to new features that are yet to be revealed though.
Despite not being called Gran Turismo 7, Polyphony Digital considers GT Sport to be a fully-fledged Gran Turismo, for the first time in the series’ history putting an emphasis on eSport competition features.
