Polyphony Digital has announced that users of their upcoming Gran Turismo 6 title will be able to purchase in-game credits in the new title.
The career mode and in-game credits are a core feature of the Gran Turismo series as they determine which cars players can drive and own.
Until now, credits could only be earned by racing or either using the B-Spec mode but it seems like the new version will offer players the chance to take a short cut by digging into their own wallet.
In-game credits will be available for sale both in the Playstation Store and at game retailers, selling in 500,000, 1 million, 2.5 million & 7 million packs. Pricing info for the credits has not yet been revealed.
In related news, Polyphony Digital also announced that Gran Turismo 6 will be available as digital download on the Playstation Store, both the standard & anniversary edition will be available as 15GB downloadable-version.
Gran Turismo 6 will come to the Playstation 3 starting December 6. featuring 1200 cars, 150 of which will be new to Gran Turismo.
As announced by Kazunori Yamauchi, the distinction between standard & premium models will remain, the cars ported over from Gran Turismo 4 will be slightly touched up to fit the new title better.
GT6 will also come with 33 tracks, with seven locations being all-new including Silverstone, the home of Nissan???s GT Academy competition.
