A very interesting new gameplay footage video of Gran Turismo Sport has surfaced, hinting at improved car audio coming to the franchise.

Synthetic and unrealistic car sounds have been a long-running criticism Gran Turismo has widely been mocked for and the creators have promised major changes in this department for years.

After hiring Forza Motorsport Audio Lead Mike Caviezel, there’s first signs of things changing for the better as the direct-audio preview video below lets us listen to a pretty impressive sounding Mercedes AMG GT S.

Final judgement on whether Gran Turismo’s sounds have improved across the board need to be postponed though as there have always been single cars in GT that sounded true to life while many others were completely off.

Gran Turismo Sport will feature 130+ cars, all of which have been built from the ground up as the studio is ditching their controversial standard-car practice of past GT titles.

Furthermore, GT Sport will also 19 different tracks, among them N??rburgring Nordschleife, Brands Hatch, Willow Springs and the new Tokyo Expressway have been confirmed.

The title will be exclusively available for the Playstation 4, the title will be released some time in 2017 after the original release date of late 2016 has been called off.
