After adding the impressive aluminum Clubsport Pedal set to their line of Porsche steering wheels, Fanatec is answering the requests of many sim racers by working on adding a Clubsport shifter to their product portfolio.
The company has now revealed first specs of the planned unit, announcing several impressive features. Just like the Clubsport Pedals, the shifter will be made of aluminium, sporting a silver gated design as made famous by car manufacturers such as Ferrari or Lamborghini.
The shifter will offer 7+1 gears, a sequential option is being worked on as well. The shifter may come with adjustable resistance and is promised to feel like in a real car.
The Clubsport Shifter will be backwards compatible to all Fanatec Porsche wheels as well as other products thanks to a USB-connection. Fanatec will be offering an adapter both for their Rennsport Wheel Stand and the Clubsport Table clamp, the shifter is planned to sell for 99,95??? or $109,95 respectively. Sim racers will have to wait quite a while to get their hands on the new product though as Fanatec isn’t expecting first prototypes to arrive before the end of the year.
