F1 2012 – Coming to the Mac

Codemasters announced that their recently-released F1 2012 title will be coming to another platform as a Mac version will be released soon.

Codemasters announced that their recently-released F1 2012 title will be coming to another platform as a Mac version will be released soon.

Despite not really made with gaming in mind, the Mac seems to become a more important platform for games again due to Apple’s (relative) surge in desktop computer market share during the past few years and the availability of Steam on the Mac.

F1 2012 for Mac will be published by Feral Interactive who already took care of the last two Codemasters titles that got a Mac treatment, DIRT 2 & TOCA Race Driver

Unfortunately, Codemasters has not released any system requirements yet, it will be interesting to see which kind of Mac is required to run the game at stable frame rates as 3D graphics are often the weakest link in Apple’s desktop computers that are more tailored towards work environments.
