F1 2011 – New Previews + Article

Eurogamer has released a new preview article on Codemasters’ upcoming Formula One 2011 title that will be coming to the PC and consoles laters this month.

The article highlights some of the physics improvements of the new title, especially in combination with the simulated KERS & DRS systems:

Cars need to be caressed, and they’re now more likely to snap into oversteer mid-corner. When they do break away, it’s possible to catch them with gentle use of the throttle and some well-applied opposite lock, and it’s these hairy moments that provide some of F1 2011’s highlights.

Even though the article is written mainly from a console point of view with the writer using a gamepad, it is well worth a read. Some new preview shots to go along with the articles have been released as well, you can check them out below.

F1 2011 will be released for the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on September 23, right in time for the final races of the real life 2011 Formula One World Championship season. The new title will come with improved graphics & handling, new features such as multiplayer splitscreen, a working safety car as well as a much more extensive career mode.
