The official Corvette Racing Twitter feed just revealed a major upcoming addition to iRacing as the Corvette C8.R, Corvette’s newest GTE class challenger will be coming to the online racing simulation.
The attached video gives us a short gameplay glimpse of the new car, also confirming the release date as the new Corvette C8.R will be released as part of iRacing’s Season 4 update later this month alongside the Dallara P217 LMP2 car, making this a major new release for all sports car racing fans.
The C8.R is the newest generation of Corvette’s ultra-successful GTE class race cars built by Pratt & Miller, it made its debut at the 2020 Rolex 24 Hours race in Daytona but unfortunately will be missing out on the Le Mans 24 Hours this year due to the Covid-19 crisis, ending a 21-year streak of consecutive (and often times victorious) Le Mans participations by the Corvette Racing team.
