diff_user has released a beta version of the Avus 1967 which he’s converting from Jimi-46’s GPL/GTR version. Even though the track is in beta stage, it’s well worth the download, lacking just start lights, night mode and other details.
The Avus, a temporary racetrack on the inner-city Autobahn in Berlin was one of Germany’s most exciting race tracks. The 1967 version utilises a spectacular banked corner that was later abandoned, the Avus saw racing until the end of the 90s when safety concerns and high operational costs due to the blocking of the Autobahn system meant an end to Berlin’s historic race track.
