Automobilista 2 – Hockenheim DLC & Update 1.01 Available

Reiza Studios have released the Hockenheim DLC pack for Automobilista 2, bringing modern and historic versions of the famed German Grand Prix venue to their simulation.

The Hockenheim track comes with no less than seven layouts, including four layouts of the modern-day venue as well as three versions of the historic track with its long straights, including the 1977 and 1988 versions as well as the last version of this iconic layout that was used for a Formula One Grand Prix in 2001.

In terms of pricing, Reiza continues to be very generous as not only is the Hockenheim DLC pack free for all existing owners of Automobilista 2, new buyers are given another last chance to get the pack for free as well as everyone who buys AMS 2 on Steam until Monday evening will receive Hockenheim on top!

Alongside the new track release, Reiza has also released a first major update for the simulation, bringing the following changes:

Physics:

  • Implemented optimal brake temp ranges (this adds an optimal brake temperature plateau to the brake response curve, making them slightly less peaky)
  • Revised load damping for all tyres & sidewall & tread stiffness tweaks to F-Retro, F-Reiza, F-V10, F-Ultimate, Caterhams
  • Adjusted F-Classic, F-Trainer, F-Retro & F3 tyre treads
  • Adjusted carcass stiffness for karts & super karts
  • Reduced carcass heating for Truck tyres
  • Added new Differential hump mode values (this affects how the viscous locking torque varies by the fluid temperature inside the diff, reducing locking torque as slip starts to increase the temperature, then virtually seizes with high locking torque as thermal expansion dominates at higher temperatures)

  • Reduced front ride height range & default setting, rear brake torque for G55 Supercup

  • Reduced default tire skid & surface volume to 50%

Tracks:
