At the end of October 2007, nVidia has released the Geforce 8800GT. Originally aimed to be a mid-cost model, the card surpasses the more expensive 8800 GTS and in some cases even the 8800 GTX. Unsurprisingly, this fact led to a huge demand all around the world, causing the card to be virtually unavailable in Germany.
Some people even went crazy and paid 350??? or more for available cards on eBay, quite a high number compared to the street-price of 220???. Today, I finally managed to get a PNY Geforce 8800GT for a regular price, the store assured me it would be in stock and delivered by Wednesday. Fingers crossed ??? The days of my ATI X1900 XT are soon to be over ????
