Chief Wiggum, creator of quality rFactor 2 mods like the Brabham BT53 and the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33TT12, is tackling a new project with a rather revolutionary idea.
Instead of focusing on re-creating a single historic car, Chief’s 70s Formula 1 mod for rFactor 2 will make extensive usage of the title’s upgrade file system to allow players building custom 70s-style F1 cars with various different parts.
The system allows a selection of different wings, airboxes and other parts to be combined to create unique 70s style F1 cars, allowing both the creation of real-life counterparts and rather crazy versions that never existed like this in real life.
This idea is quite amazing for leagues and players who like to have full fields of diverse, unique cars instead of single spec chassis and another great example of the amazing content the mod community is able to come up with.
